Challenge #1: Meditation
The challenge: Practice meditation everyday for 30 days for at least 5 minutes a day. You can start with just one minute. Find a quiet place, if possible, and just sit. Even one minute of quiet a day will make a difference, you’ll see.
Meditation is an important part of the Journey. The benefits of meditation are many. Meditation leads to mindfulness, peace of mind, focus, reduction in stress, manage anxiety and depression and even manage pain.
There are many different kinds of meditation: mindfulness meditation, transcendental meditation, walking meditation and more. We have listed some of our favorite websites to help you learn more.
The Yoga Journal: One of our favorite sites for meditation and yoga. The journal gives a great explanation of the different styles and some guided meditations.
Tara Brach: Tara is one of my favorite authors and meditation teachers. Check out her page for information, inspiration and guided meditations.
Transcendental Meditation: Founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, TM is one of the best known forms of modern meditation.

Journaling is an important part of the healing process.
Challenge #3: Walking
The Walking Challenge: The goal of this challenge is to walk for at least 5 minutes everyday, building up to :30 minutes 3-5 times per week.
